I started the day with a quick dash to the bank to deposit a cheque that I have been waiting for in the last four weeks. Sometimes some jobs don’t pay immediately and that is just the reality today. Everybody wants everything to be finished yesterday, but when it comes to paying for it they can take weeks to get their hands to lift up a pen and write that cheque or print it out as is more the case these days. Blogging: can be a luxury
I have been running this blog for quite a while now and I have been pretty lax when it comes to updates. In the last few months there have been but a handful of updates and this is becoming more and more an issue. As I am currently working a full-time job and trying to run a design business and a blog to boot, I am finding that time is more and more an issue that is hard to resolve. To top it all up, this year I am also teaching at a college and a school, so there are more things to do when I am not working.
Many people in my situation will probably give up and say:”Well, I don’t have much time for blogging anymore”. Well, you are all wrong, because now I am more determined to make time for blogging and to write stuff more often. I guess it becomes easier if I think of it as being a written piece of opinion. I know I have a lot of opinions on a lot of things. So there you go!
Death to the MiniDisc format!
After spending the last few days in pain researching how I can make backup copies of old MD tracks, I have given up! My tireless searching was basically rewarded with a big zilch, since it is basically impossible to transfer music from your minidisc to your PC without having to record it manually. If this alone does not stop people from buying expensive MD recorder units, then I will be damned! Continue reading
